Here is my thought toward how southeast Asia is portrayed on the western media. I believe that the western media portray Southeast Asia as a “conflicted place” due to our language barrier, culturally different, and colonized by western country.

The western media always present themselves as “justice” symbol in Southeast Asian. They try to brainwash people to believe that, only their media speak the undeniable truth, and try to belittle the Southeast Asian culture by put a “uncivilized” stamp on their reputation.
